Following a morning conference in which Canon Steve Allen led on 'Treasure in Clay Jars', every Reader in the diocese who was able to be there was re-licensed for the next three years, after seven new Readers had been admitted and another welcomed from a different diocese by Bishop Colin Buchanan. The new Readers who received their scarves from their parish priests are: Jane Brocklehurst for St Helen's Waddington and St Catherine's West Bradford John Corbin for St Wilfrid’s Calverley Jacqueline Hird for All Saints Otley Dawn Jenkins for St John the Divine Menston with Woodhead Jean Nicholas for St Alkelda's Giggleswick Elizabeth Reynolds (Lizzie) for St Mary the Blessed Virgin Burley in Wharfedale Rodney Tickner for All Saints Keighley Transferring from another diocese was Paul Titchmarsh for St Paul’s Shipley
