Bradford Hate Crime Alliance is committed to encouraging the reporting of hate incidents by providing the public with the facility to report such incidents at locations other than at Police Stations with a view to the elimination of all such crime by providing an effective quality service for victims and their families.
To promote, develop and implement a multi-agency approach for tackling hate crime
To positively support, encourage and monitor the reporting of hate incidents within Bradford and District
To raise public awareness on the issue of hate crime and the implications for those who are subjected to it
To monitor and review the effectiveness of the services provided for victims and seek their views to ensure that service provision is developed in accordance with their needs
Identify good practice and encourage agencies to develop or revise their policies, codes of practice and staff training in order to improve service delivery
To initiate and co-ordinate preventative action against the perpetrators of hate crime
To review the objectives of BHCA on an ongoing basis
Bradford Hate Crime Alliance is committed to working jointly towards the elimination of hate crime within the Metropolitan District of Bradford. Bradford Hate Crime Alliance encourages the reporting of such incidents and is committed to the provision of supporting victims of hate incidents and their families.
Bradford Hate Crime Alliance recognises their responsibilities as service providers and users, to challenge, confront and combat hate crime and violence via an effective working partnership with regard to their legislative duties within the public, private and voluntary sectors.
The common purpose of Bradford Hate Crime Alliance is to work collaboratively to provide a formal structure for agencies and committees within the Metropolitan District of Bradford by co-ordinating their activities in order to develop policies, improve practices, develop and support new initiatives and identify resources to provide an effective quality service for the victims of hate crime and their families.
