reflection on the story of the local church
reflection on the mission context of the local church
duration: fifteen sessions
... all potentially leading to a mandate for a Ministry Development Team...
The Ministry Development Officer is available to visit parishes to help in the following ways:
Preaching
Presentations to congregation and/ or PCC
Recommended selection process involving:
the whole congregation
PCC
incumbent and wardens
Mandating the Ministry Development Team in the context of worship
Any existing parish team or task group is welcome to make use of resources from the Ministry Development Team equipping process:
Team-building workshops
‘On the job’ support:
appointment of a Companion as a critical friend
guided reflection topics, e.g.
Leadership and Decision Making
Managing Change
Dealing with Conflict
Periodic review
Help when team membership changes
Annual Ministry Development Team days
