How your parish can help the environment

1) Install PV Panels for Solar Energy - The Church of England has in excess of 12,000 south facing roofs. More sun energy hits the world's surface in one hour than the world uses in one year. A good source of grant and funding advice websites can be found here: Bradford Environment Action Trust

2) Register for the Ecocongregation Award - churchyards have some of the oldest undisturbed wildflower habitats in the country.

These are just two suggestions. We can't do everything at once but we need to walk in the right direction! I'm happy to help parishes explore these issues.

Environment Day 2012
The Revd Dave Bookless lead an environment day on 15 September. There were 'trade stands' for CAFOD, TEAR Fund, A Rocha and other lobbying organisations.
