Southwestern Virginia Link

This year’s Youth Exchange is outbound, with 7 young people aged 16-19 travelling to the USA to link with Bishop Neff and his team in Southwestern Virginia.   Accompanied by Diocesan Children’s and Youth Adviser Steve Grasham and his wife Fran, the team will begin with a few days in Washington DC, touring the Capitol, National Cathedral and other historic sites. 

They'll then travel south to serve in a variety of mission opportunities with the Augusta Boy’s Home, Virginia Episcopal School, the Martinsville Vacation Bible School as well as time with the Monacan Indians. Further highlights include Mass on the Mountain with Bishop Neff, a canoe trip, an auto rally and quintessential American summer past times like a baseball game and a drive-in movie!

The trip runs from 7-26 of July 2012 and the youth will be holding a number of fundraisers in the upcoming weeks. Please get in touch with  Steve Grasham to support the team as they minister “across the pond”!
