David Lee

Archdeacon of Bradford

The Venerable David Lee has been Archdeacon of Bradford since 2004. Before coming to Bradford he had been Residentiary Canon and Director of Mission for the Diocese of Birmingham for 8 years.

He has also worked as a missionary in Uganda and Britain, been a teacher of the New Testament, Systematic Theology and Missiology and has served as a Rector of two rural parishes.

David's research interest is how we read scripture within our postmodern culture. email David

 

Paul Slater

Archdeacon of Craven

The Venerable Paul Slater has been the Archdeacon of Craven since 2005 and the Bishop of Bradford's Officer for Ministry and Mission since 2001.

Paul has served all his ministry in the Diocese of Bradford. He has been Rector of Haworth, Bishop David Smith's Personal Assistant, Warden of Readers, Priest-in-Charge of Cullingworth and Director of the Diocesan Foundation Course. 

He has oversight of the Ministry and Mission department which includes vocations, training for both ordained and lay ministries, evangelism, liturgy and spirituality. email Paul
 
 
Debbie Child

Diocesan Secretary

Debbie Child is both Diocesan Secretary and Human Resources Manager. She came to work for the Diocese in 1991 from administration management in Marks and Spencer. email Debbie

 

 

 

Bishop's Chaplain

The Revd Denise Poole has been Chaplain to the Bishop of Bradford since 2006.

Denise has lived and worked in Bradford Diocese for 40 years. She's worked as Chaplaincy Coordinator at Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust, Diocesan Director of Ordinands and vicar of St Augustine’s Bradford, which initiated a large church and community project, Communityworks. She is committed to ministry and mission especially working with those outside the church and those on the margins. email Denise
